Blackberry Did Not Pick The Low Hanging Fruit
January 24, 2006 | |
RIM, maker of the ubiquitous Blackberry (I have one), has not taken advantage of its PR low hanging fruit. As you may know, the Supreme Court has just refused to hear a patent infringement case against RIM.
Users love the Blackberry device and are waiting to help, but to date no request has been forthcoming. RIM needs a PR firm with some cojones, willing to ask users to enter the fray. Just tell us what to do and we’re ready. We’ll write letters to elected officials, we’ll email them en masse, we’ll call the company that filed the suit and crash their phone system. Just ask your brand ambassadors. In times of crisis, PR can help and rarely does a company have a devoted following that is willing.
