Dan Rather - in a recent speech - says that journalism needs more backbone. They must recognize, he says, that they have a duty and reconnect with their role in a system of checks and balances. “American journalism needs a spine transplant and we need it quickly,” he said.
I agree that journalism needs more backbone because currently it seems to be a puppet operated by the liberal wing of the Democratic party. Journalists need to take the same microscope to all powerful people, not just Conservatives.
