Media Relations - Blog Style

March 21, 2006 | |

Bloggers are not journalists, per se. So-called “real journalists” tell you this all the time. Most are just people with some expertise in a specific area who are anxious to share their knowledge, opinions and sometimes vitriol. If you are a PR practitioner who is working the blogosphere for a client or your own organization, don’t differentiate between bloggers and journalists. If they are credible, influential sources of information in your space, you would be remiss in not trying to get your message to them.

Tom Foremski, founder of Silicon Valley Watcher, has some good advice on dealing with bloggers.
