John Kerry’s Gaffe

Recently, I used the Kerry gaffe as a vehicle to discuss media bias. Other PR practitioners are using it to discuss the proper way to apologize. For instance, David Henderson has a piece here. If you are going to apologize for something, make sure you apologize and don’t just try to shift the blame to someone else for something stupid that you did or said. The apology needs to be delivered quickly after the incident. Don’t wait for someone else to point out your faux pas.
